Metora is a massive resurrection machine, standing alone in the center of a flat, shallow red lake. The water is calm and still, an eerie quiet that surrounds those who return. When someone dies, their signal is drawn back to Metora. The machine begins reconstructing their physical form, based on data scattered through the system. Multiple bodies can be respawned at once, depending on how many lives were lost. At no point is anyone clothed. They emerge naked, dazed, and vulnerable, cast directly into the red lake. Some awaken immediately, others remain unconscious until approached. No guidance is offered. Metora does not erase memory, but it cannot always retrieve everything. What returns is partial and fragmented, leaving the reborn in a state of confusion. They sense something missing… but not what.

Citizens are the majority. They live within Keshuma City, go to work, follow protocol, and accept life as it is. Most never question the structure. Some suspect something’s off, but don’t want to know. Citizens represent the default setting: survival through adaptation. Not everyone rebels. Not everyone escapes. But even here, there are moments of clarity: opportunities to wake up.

The MaxTag is a compact device folded into the tray table in front of each shuttle seat. When unfolded, it reveals an injector tool, a small pistol-like mechanism with a needle designed for self-administration. Passengers are instructed to inject the needle of the MaxTag into their wrist, which activates a visible Maxline around the arm. This line becomes part of the individual’s growth path, marking their current state and warning them when they begin approaching the threshold that could trigger a Final Bosu. It is framed as a personal responsibility, a preventive measure to help individuals track and manage their own growth before it becomes dangerous.

Mujin are respawned individuals whose memories never returned. With no personal history, no identity, and no attachments, they exist in a kind of emotional fog: functional, compliant, and quiet. They aren’t machines, but they’re often treated as if they are.

Respawn (No ID) refers to individuals who have been successfully resurrected through Metora, but somehow never arrived at Keshuma Station, the official terminal where all respawned are processed, tagged, and sorted. They were born again, wrapped in red blankets like everyone else… But somewhere between Metora and the system’s grasp, they disappeared. They carry no identity, belong to no faction, and are not registered in any database. In the system’s eyes, they don’t exist. These individuals are considered rogue anomalies, full of potential, but unmonitored and uncontained. With no memory, no Maxline, and no official integration, they move beneath the radar, unnoticed by most, but highly sought after by the Kaichukan, who consider them a threat to balance and order. Some believe they escaped the system’s loop. Others think they’re unstable, on the verge of collapse. Whatever the truth is, no one knows where they are… or what they might become.

Kazegami are outsiders, wandering survivors who live far from the city in forgotten ruins and open plains. Rooted in instinct and intuition, they avoid digital control and follow the wind, unmapped, unmeasured, and unclaimed. The Growth Path is a visible line that appears on the forearm of every respawned individual shortly after re-entry. It looks like a fine, etched system of lines or symbols that gradually extend as a person grows, emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. Though it resembles a tattoo or scar, the Growth Path is not static. It changes. It responds. And it tells a story, one that the system takes seriously. The primary setting of Final Bosu: a vast, layered metropolis on Level 1 of the system. The city runs on rigid order and fashionable conformity, and it is designed to control every part of a citizen's life. Keshuma City is the city inside Chutoria, the world. It is where the IDs live, everyone except the Kazegami, who live outside the walls as outlanders.

The Kaichukan are Keshuma City’s elite internal force. More than guards or soldiers, they’re a respected institution responsible for maintaining order, defending the city’s borders, and regulating internal movement.

The Respawn Express is a shuttle-like transport vehicle that carries newly resurrected individuals from Metora, a mysterious machine located in a red lake, to the edge of Keshuma City. Wrapped in red blankets and stripped of their memories, passengers awaken confused and vulnerable, often unaware of who they are or what lies ahead. The shuttle is sleek, automated, and eerily efficient, operating with an unsettling blend of warmth and control.

The franchises people love most (films, series, games, and anime) are remembered for their stories and their characters. Many are remembered just as much for a musical theme you can never forget. The Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Attack on Titan, Naruto, Pokémon: you can hum every one of those themes on the spot. Hear one, and the whole experience comes back with it. Known as the Fortune Tellers, Bull and Bear are an elusive pair who seem to exist just outside the city’s pulse. Bull, raised as a winner, is intelligent, hardworking, and opportunistic, always scanning for the next opening. Bear, a survivor from the wild, is practical, cautious, and prone to overanalyzing, the steady counterweight to Bull’s drive. Together, they can read patterns no one else can, spotting the hidden algorithms of the world and predicting what’s to come with unnerving precision. Their presence changes the air: serious, sharp, and unsettling. Their loyalty is to each other first, and whatever secrets they share remain locked between them. They don’t quite fit in Keshuma City. It’s as if they came from somewhere else, a place sharper, colder. People speak of them in whispers, like ghosts you hope never to meet.

A long time ago, the three brothers (JJ, Jeff, Kevin) inherited an old box from their dad, filled with comics. Every comic was a door to another world. New, magical, immersive landscapes occupied their minds. And so, a love for STORIES was sparked. They spent their time creating fan films, designing costumes, and penning side-stories for their favorite universes. Yet they saw a clear gap: most franchises kept fans at arm’s length instead of inviting them in. So they launched Final Bosu, an open-licensed anime universe where any fan-generated art, story beat, or game idea can find a home, and together, they’re redefining what it means to build a media franchise.

Hieroglyphs are ancient, undeciphered symbols found deep within the Hidden Legacy Catacombs, a secret network built inside the walls of Keshuma City. These markings are carved into old stone, etched into metal surfaces, and scattered across collapsed corridors that don’t appear on any official city schematics. They do not match any known writing system. Some resemble glitched-out code fragments, others feel ritualistic or symbolic, like they were meant to trigger something, not just be read. The symbols often appear in mirrored patterns, repeating loops, or fractured sequences, suggesting an encrypted or multi-layered logic. To this day, no complete translation exists. Every attempt has hit a wall.

The main protagonist of Final Bosu, Letsugo, begins his story as a Mujin, a person whose memory has been completely wiped. Like all Mujin in Keshuma City, he has no growth path; growth is inseparable from memory and identity. Without a past, without a personal story, and without direction, Mujin are placed into repetitive, labor-intensive roles that require obedience over initiative. Yet Letsugo is different. Beneath the blank slate is a rare, competitive spark, a drive to measure himself, to push, to win. It’s an instinct that even he can’t fully explain. He starts out bound by the constraints of his programmed world, until a twist of fate sets him on a transformative path. Driven by insatiable curiosity, Letsugo begins navigating philosophical dilemmas, societal expectations, and the chaos within himself.
